Founded on a Simple Observation
In 1980, when DHEVI opened its doors on Station View Road in Kodambakkam, ready-made clothing in India was rigid and exclusionary. Mainstream garment manufacturers designed strictly for standard mannequin sizes. Anyone needing broader shoulders, fuller busts, or comfortable waistbands was either turned away or forced to buy oversized, ill-fitting clothes from local tailors.
Dhevi set out to change that reality. We established partnerships with high-standard export mills, weavers, and garment manufacturers to source export-quality fabrics and create cuts that respect the natural contours of real bodies.
Style Is Never Defined by a Size Label.
We reject the clinical, apologetic language of modern "plus-size" retail. At DHEVI, our sizing continuum starts at standard 28 inches and extends continuously up to 56 inches for women and 62 inches for men. Every garment is engineered with proportional armholes, breathable ease allowances, and dignified drapery.
